It’s time to change the game.

Google Pixel and The Powerhouse Project have united to launch Pixel FC Academy - a landmark programme that will help young women break into the football media industry.

The Academy is part of a broader commitment from Google Pixel, The Powerhouse Project, and all of the Academy partners to help increase the coverage and visibility of the women’s game, as well as the number of women in the sports media industry, by creating a clear talent pathway for the next generation of creators.

The programme

The Pixel FC Academy programme will provide our cohort with hands-on experience and expert training across all areas of modern sports media - from broadcast punditry and production, to print and online press, to creating viral social content.

Working alongside top professionals from leading organisations such as Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC, The FA, YouTube, 90Mins, ITV Sport and BBC, Academy members will gain insider insights, practical skills, and opportunities to learn from industry leaders, preparing Academy members for a successful career in the field.

This will include first-hand experiences with some of the country’s best players, from going pitchside at WSL and Lionesses fixtures, to interviewing stars from Arsenal FC Women and Liverpool FC Women.
